Well exactly 6 months after starting my new job, I may be unemployed.  We find out tomorrow what the plan is now that our office has been deemed 'over-staffed'.  We have a whopping 15 people that work there and apparently that is 4 too many.  My thing is what a way to f*ck things up AIG, open a brand new office and then over-staff it.  Oddly enough every person in the office is stressed out and overworked.  Corporate America, way to go!   Ok my rant is over, now I'm going to bed and hope that I still have a job by the end of the day tomorrow.  Cross your fingers.

Meet French

Introducing French, our new kitty! French is about 4 1/2 months old and was adopted from Save Our Strays in Cincinnati. He is full of energy and really crazy! As you can see he is an avid Delta fan already, and he takes after Jim as he just sits around ;)

If you're wondering about his name...well unless French is wide awake and causing mischief, he resembles actor French Stewart from 3rd Rock from the Sun, he squints quite a bit!

Lost

So I was watching Lost last night on TiVo after we watched Will & Grace, and let's just say - HOLY SH*T! Roommate had heard something about the show earlier in the day so our senses were heightened, and rightfully so! The last 2 minutes of the show (which ran for 62 minutes actually) were so damn intense that I couldn't get settled down for bed for quite a while. I was greatly disturbed at the plot twist that has taken place. Jim jokingly predicted a small part of the plot twist, but I was still floored when it happened.

Anyone else watch it? Let me know what you thought.

Almost Over....

Party at the Point was fun last night, it was like a mini-pride parade; we saw old friends and made new ones! In all it was good times, I'm excited about future PIP's and PAP's.

This pic is from my second to last day at work! HAHA! I was in the underground passageways of P&G and just felt like sticking my tongue out at someone but there was nobody around so I stick it out at you ;)

I got a call today from my new direct manager, he left me a voice mail explaining what my first day of work will entail. Since we have no office to go to yet we are meeting in a hotel and then being dispatched to training somewhere - most likely Louisville. Anyone wanna go to The Connection with me?

Bye Bye Mary's

I was just informed that Hamburger Mary's will be/has changed their name to Universal Grille. The reasoning behind this is the franchise fees that the Hamburger Mary's name costs them. Apparently it's about 10% of the bottom line which is something like $72k per year. I can see why they would drop away, but it will be sad to see 'Mary' go. Maybe they will take that 72 grand and have some good drink specials like Union Station does just around the corner.

My Thursdays are going to be totally jacked up now: no more Will & Grace and no more Maryaoke! What will we call it now Universalaoke?!

Oh well, life goes on! Now watch the video in my previous post and it will make you LOL!

Need a laugh?

Not alot to say...

It's been a semi-busy week trying to keep occupied while you know who continues his globe trotting adventure. I've been to 2 grill-outs with my friends, (whom I hadn't seen in a while!) 2 visits to the fam to do laundry. A bit of good news though, my friend Clint who is serving in Kuwait will be home for 2 weeks starting Monday. The odd thing is that while the government is paying for his transportation, he has to purchase his tickets as he goes. They fly him to Germany, and from there he has to get into the U.S. and then to CVG or DAY whichever works out best for him. Either way, I guess it doesn't matter as long as he is home safe to be with his family and friends.


PS my last day at this damn job is in one week!!!!!!

Mini-vacation

Our trip to Gatlinburg last week...it was supposed to be Hilton Head, but we still had fun!!!

And we're back!

So I've been asked by numerous people to bring back the blog - well here it is!

Quick update:

• New job starts in 2 weeks!
• Went on a crazy pub crawl this past weekend!
• Jim is still gallivanting around the globe :(
  
• Ghetto camper in KY is primed and ready for lake trips!
• Will & Grace has only 3 new episodes left :_(
  
• American Idol is down to 6 finalists - ACE IS GONE YAY!!!!!
• MySpace is kinda cool - tons of people have found me from my past life.

That's all I can think of for now - see you really didn't miss much!
